PaintCare is a nonprofit organization initiated by the paint industry to provide an environmentally responsible way to recycle leftover paint. In jurisdictions with paint stewardship laws, PaintCare establishes recycling programs on behalf of paint manufacturers. They encourage individuals and businesses to bring their unwanted paint to PaintCare's numerous drop-off sites, primarily located at paint retailers for convenience. Their efforts extend to providing tips for buying the right amount of paint, storing it properly, and ideas for using up leftovers or donating them, aiming to minimize waste and promote recycling. The organization has made significant achievements, including the collection of millions of gallons of paint and hosting numerous drop-off events, earning recognition for its contributions to environmental sustainability and waste management.
